Join our Sales team as a Sales Officer and make a significant impact by delivering excellent customer service.
We are seeking an individual who can guide customers throughout the sales process, from initial inquiries to legal completion and handover.
You will be responsible for:
- Actively follow up on leads received from various portals, maintaining accurate customer database records.
- Manage WDH's shared ownership and future outright property sales programmes through effective sales and marketing efforts.
- Maintain regular communication with purchasers, IFAs, and solicitors, overseeing ongoing sales until the exchange of contracts.
- Collaborate with the Home Ownership Manager to provide comprehensive service to all sales customers, including working one Saturday every four weeks and occasional evenings.
- Ensure fair and equal access to all sales services through effective communication strategies.
As a Sales Officer, you will:
- Handle customer applications with care and professionalism, verifying eligibility and assessing affordability for shared ownership properties.
- Conduct viewings with prospective purchasers, demonstrating comprehensive local knowledge of amenities, schools, transport links, and competitors.
- Work across multiple developments and attend regular on-site meetings.
- Identify any issues with unsold homes and present actionable ideas to the Home Ownership Manager.
- Regularly conduct property checks to maintain presentation standards.
- Conduct legal completion handovers with expertise and professionalism.
What we’re looking for:
- a qualification at Level 3 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework;
- experience within a sales and marketing environment, ideally in the housing sector;
- experience of or a strong aptitude for developing a sales and marketing strategy;
- excellent organisation skills and the ability to organise your own workloadthe ability to undertake a large caseload of property transactions; and
- the ability to communicate effectively and establish productive relationships with a wide range of people.
The postholder will need a full, valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle on a daily basis in order to travel throughout the extended area of operation. Our areas of operation includes the Wakefield district, North Yorkshire and East Riding.
