Your Task, If You Feel Ready for the Challenge:

Architectural Vision
Build out and lead our Architecture Design Authority, collaborating with senior management to define and architect business solutions. You’ll be at the forefront of advising on technology choices that align with our strategic objectives. This will be our first senior architecture role, so this is a great opportunity to make your mark.

Strategic Influence
Work across the organisation to design, deliver, and evolve our digital, data, and technology solutions, ensuring they support the development of modern business services.

The Horizon and New Technology
Monitor and assess new technologies and advances in Technical and Application Architectures to keep WDH ahead of the curve.

The Day-to-Day:

Change Champion
Propose and evaluate change initiatives, supporting strategy development and risk management with senior leadership.

Solution Strategist
Guide the development of application roadmaps, ensuring our technology estate meets user requirements and strategic goals.

Governance Guru
Manage governance forums to maintain our Enterprise Architecture, ensuring consistency with standards, policies, and strategies.

Financial Planner
Secure budgetary resources and contribute to financial planning for strategy programmes and project delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications and Skills

  • Level 5 qualification or equivalent (e.g., HNC, Diploma).
  • TOGAF or similar Enterprise Architecture certification.
  • Extensive experience with architecture methodologies and frameworks.

Experience and Expertise

  • Proven track record in driving large-scale architectural projects.
  • Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with 3rd party Technical and Application Architects.
