We have an exciting Business Analyst opportunity to join our PMO and Governance Team at WDH.  We are looking for an inspirational individual who will be an integral part of the team, working in a fast-paced environment and engaging with stakeholders from across the business.

You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we look at improving the way we interact with our customers, employees and looking at how we run our business with lots of changes to the technology we use and how we work.

Your role:

A key part of your role as an experienced Business Analyst is understanding problems and helping the business to explore and agree solutions. You will help the PMO and Governance Team and IT Programme Managers to bring these solutions to life with an implementable and effective business design. Below are some key accountabilities that will enable this process:

  • assist the business in reviewing and improving its processes, products, and services;
  • help the PMO and Governance Team and IT Programme Managers to bridge the gap between IT and the wider WDH business;
  • identify better ways of working by investigating and analysing current business situations, using relevant investigation techniques including facilitating cross functional group workshops and sessions;
  • identify and manage stakeholders effectively throughout project lifecycles and effectively liaise between the project team and the business;
  • evaluate options for improving business and IT systems, by making evidence-based recommendations and communicating these to stakeholders and business leaders;
  • engage with internal and external stakeholders translate and document their needs into requirements;
  • assist the business owners to produce clear, compelling and measurable business cases and work with them to use these throughout the project to capture and report on benefits realisation; 
  • act as an advocate for change and communicate the benefits positively to the business and senior management; and
  • conduct gap analysis exercises in order to identify where improvements can be made across business processes, people, and IT systems.

What we are looking for:

  • a qualification at level 5 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework;
  • experience of working in teams of business analysts and subject matter experts, ideally in the Housing Sector in a fast-paced environment;
  • experience of delivering effective business analysis support to multiple simultaneous projects;  
  • performing requirements analysis;
  • competency in Microsoft Office suite and process modelling tools as well as experience working with Capita Housing Management System, Microsoft Dynamics and or Salesforce;
  • experience using a proven project management method, such as PRINCE2, AGILE;
  • an ability to lead on projects and organise the work required from employees and managers in different departments; and
  • the ability to talk to and influence stakeholders and work closely with all parts of WDH to identify acceptable solutions to business issues.
