We are looking for someone to assist in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service within our Adaptations Team.

What you’ll be doing:

In this role you will be the first point of contact for anyone wishing to make a referral to adapt a WDH property and for Homesearch members who wish to rehouse due to their physical health. 

Day to day work includes answering the telephone, answering emails, placing work orders, dealing with enquiries in relation to the work orders, signposting people to third party agencies, updating spreadsheets and statistical data, maintaining customers’ personal records, booking appointments for the Occupational Therapists and liaising with care and health agencies both within and outside of the Wakefield district.

What we're looking for:

  • relevant experience in an appropriate office administration or housing related field;
  • a qualification at level 2 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework;
  • good ICT skills with the ability to use a range of PC applications, software packages and information systems;
  • the ability to present information in a logical and understandable format; and
  • effective communication and negotiation skills, being able to deal with difficult and challenging circumstances.
