From Wednesday 28 November anyone of working age, living in Wakefield and needing to claim benefits will need to apply for Universal Credit online. A change in your circumstances could also mean you need to claim Universal Credit.

Don’t miss out, get online and #Try1Thing this October

WDH is taking part in Get Online Week between 15- 21 October 2018 and encouraging people to Try 1 Thing online.

It could be using Skype to keep in touch with your friends, preparing for Universal Credit, setting up a bank account or looking for a job - anything that you haven’t had the skills or confidence to try before now.

Our Digital Angels are keen to help you to get online and show you how to use the internet. Come along to one of our sessions or visit our service access points (SAPs) during Get Online Week.

Jill Amber, Community Development Officer at WDH said: “Today using the internet is essential. Get Online Week is a great opportunity to help people who are still nervous about doing more online.”

Our Digital Angels will be on hand: 

  • Monday 15 - Friday 19 October: 10.00am -16.00pm at all SAPs in Wakefield, Pontefract, Airedale and South Elmsall
  • Wednesday 17 October: 9.30am – 11.30am Ossett Triangle, Broadowler Stores, Ossett
  • Thursday 18 October: 10.00am – 12.00pm Horsefair TARA, Community Room, Luke William House, Pontefract and 2.00pm – 4.00pm look for our Mobile Unit at Esther Grove, Wakefield
