The West End Terriers football club based in Hemsworth will be playing great this season thanks to a community grant from WDH.

The club has invested in new training footballs and poles and a set of new football nets to help improve their game.

The Terriers received a grant for £1,500 from WDH as part of their Community Grant Scheme, which encourages local groups to apply for up to £1,500 to fund events, activities or new equipment.

Dale Appleton, from The West End Terriers, said: “We just want to say thank you to WDH for the support and funding this season, through the WDH Community Grant.  Without this help and support we would not have been able to provide the much needed training equipment for our members to help them improve and up their game.”

Jane Gwilliam, WDH’s Tenant Involvement Officer, said: “It is great to see so many different groups benefitting from these grants and putting the money to good use.   They can really help to boost local communities and it is nice for WDH to be able to give something back.”
