The Debt, Cash Wise and Tenancy Ready Teams were recognised for their response to the challenges presented by Universal Credit (UC), welfare reform and poverty across the district.
The teams have changed the way they support tenants by introducing a bespoke programme to help maximise income, improve digital confidence and improve tenancy sustainment.
Mick Walsh, Director of Housing, said: “We are incredibly honoured to be recognised as the Housing Team of the Year. Our teams work hard to ensure each tenant gets the best possible service and access to the support they need. We strive to maintain and constantly improve the wellbeing of our tenants and this award is testament to everyone involved. We are delighted that the work we do has been highlighted on such a high level.”
