More computers have been donated to the community thanks to WDH’s drive to help more people get online.

Five machines which were formerly used by WDH employees have been refurbished and given to St Catherine’s Church Centre in Belle Vue, Wakefield.

They were installed last week and have already had plenty of use by the several community groups based at the centre, as well as a work club.

Lisa Grant, Centre Manager, said: “We’re really grateful that WDH has donated these computers have proved to be really popular already. They will be an important asset to the centre, particularly for the work club members who will be able to look for job opportunities online.

Darren Wood, Service Support Manager for Business Systems at WDH, said: “We’re committed to getting our communities online and while these computers no longer had a place in WDH offices, they will hopefully become a vital tool in helping people reap the many rewards that the internet brings.”
