Supporting Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2021

Published 20 May 2021

We recognise diversity in society, and one of our key values is to be inclusive.

We are proud to celebrate Global Accessibility Awareness Day on 20 May 2021 to raise awareness of the importance of creating a world where our customers with disabilities / impairments can access information without barriers, whether that’s online, in person or on paper.

To support everyone online with visual and nonvisual disabilities, we have created an inclusive website to enable all employees, customers, and other website users to customise their online experience in a way that works best for them by using Recite Me.

The Recite Me tool sits on the top of our website and enables customers to have better access to our information in a format that suits their needs.

Through Recite Me, visitors can customise the look and feel of our website in a way that works for them. It includes dyslexia friendly tools, an interactive dictionary, a translation tool with over 100 languages and an option to turn text to speech. To use Recite Me, click the “me ACCESSIBILITY” button on the top right corner of the website.

To support our customers with other requirements, we can help by arranging:

  • letters or communication in clear English, different font sizes or braille;
  • easy read materials and dyslexia friendly content;
  • phone interpreters by using Language Line;
  • translation of correspondence in other languages;
  • British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters;
  • induction loop loan; and
  • audio CD or MP3.

If you have any accessibility preferences, please let us know by contacting OneCALL on 0345 8 507 507
