It may come as welcome news for many of you that our Prime Minister has announced that we can spend a little more time outside and that we can travel a little further afield. However, I know for many it makes things a little more confusing. What I can assure you of, is that we are continuing to follow the guidance that is coming from Government in everything we do. That means we are adhering to social distancing and using the correct personal protective equipment (PPE), where needed, but we are also pushing ahead to resume as many services as we can as soon as it is safe to do so.
I highlighted in previous weeks that we are continuing to carry out gas servicing and electrical testing where it is safe to ensure that your home remains safe and secure.
Last week I confirmed that we were able to start grass cutting to make sure our communities and your estates stay safe, clean and attractive places to live.
This week we have put our Homesearch website back online, meaning anyone looking for a home can register with the service, in preparation for when we aim to begin advertising properties on Wednesday 27 May 2020.
Throughout all of this we have been aware that people need safe, good quality homes and it is our duty to provide these. This is why we have prioritised bringing these services back into action as soon as possible. I am sure you are aware that many of our employees have continued to work from home and on the front line to keep tenants safe and secure, despite these testing times. It’s now time for us to try to resume normal service in every way that we can. Over the coming week, I will be asking you, through various communication channels, what you feel we should be prioritising and how well we have kept you informed. If you see this message, I do hope you will take the time to read it and give your feedback, as it will influence how we manage our future approach to services.
Thank you for your continued support.
