Don’t forget to obtain our authorisation first.

Summer is a great time to spruce up your home and garden, but if you are a WDH tenant or leaseholder, make sure you complete an application form before picking up your tools.

To make your application easier, we have put in place a new streamlined process to provides a quicker turnaround.

If you are a tenant, leasehold or shared owner, as long as you have our written permission before you start any DIY, you can make alterations or improvements to your home.

If you are a shorthold (starter) tenant, our rental agreement means you do not have a statutory right to carry out improvements or alterations. Reasonable requests from starter tenants to carry out improvements or alterations will however be considered, and you must complete the relevant home improvement application form for a decision to be made.

If you are a tenant or assured shorthold (starter) tenant, download and complete a copy of our new home improvements application form here: Tenant home improvements or alterations form

If you a leasehold or shared owner, download and complete a copy of our new home improvements application form here: Leaseholders or shared ownership improvements or alterations form
