Money will benefit youngsters thanks to survey

WDH has donated £410 to the Outward Bound Trust thanks to a survey carried out - which will pay for another place on next year’s Young Person’s Development Programme.

A stakeholder survey was sent out recently with an incentive that WDH would donate £5 per respondent once the surveys were sent back.

The Young Person’s Development Programme is a personal development course for young people in the Wakefield district, which gives them an opportunity to take part in life-changing experiences to help them reach their full potential and play a positive role in their local communities.

Each year, 60 Year 10 students get to take part in the Outward Bound course through the Young Person’s Development Programme.

Tim Craven, WDH's Social Investment Manager, said: "We are really grateful for the money as it means an extra person will benefit from potentially life-changing experiences.”
