Middlestown residents get health and housing advice

Middlestown residents were recently invited to an event held at the Nell Gap Lane Garage Site in Middlestown by WDH and The South West Yorkshire Foundation Trust (SWYFT) which aimed to provide them with health, wellbeing and housing advice.

A white inflatable health pod allowed Jane Marriot, a Food and Health Development Worker, from the SWYFT to give residents advice about healthy eating and their general health and wellbeing.

WDH representatives were in attendance and offered residents free housing advice and information about their other services which included how to save money with Cash Wise and how our Digital Angels can help them get online.

Chris Croxall, WDH’s Tenant Involvement Officer, said: “The health pod has attracted a lot of interest over the summer and has provided an ideal opportunity for residents to come along and meet employees of WDH and the NHS. We gave out lots of fruit and information about the services that WDH provide which can contribute to the health and wellbeing of our tenants.”
