Have your say: new football scheme for the South East.

Published 28 January 2021

Would you like to get active and learn new skills through football? If you live in Hemsworth, South Elmsall, South Kirkby, Upton, Havercroft or Ryhill and are looking for a new way to get fit, then a new football programme could be on the horizon.

We are working with the Active Through Football consortium to develop a proposal for a new fitness programme. The potential programme would be delivered by the Football Foundation to help people get fit by playing football.

To help build our proposal and understand interest levels, we are inviting residents to have their say.

If you think you may be interested, all you need to do is fill in the short survey link attached below and by doing so you could also be in with a chance to win a prize voucher:

Tim Craven, Social Investment Manager for WDH, said: “We are delighted to be working with Active Through Football consortium. The programme we will be proposing will be open to all fitness levels and abilities. To help us shape our bid, we would like to gauge people’s interest and it would be great to hear from people from the South East area who would really benefit from getting fit and active in a fun and different way.”
