Grange Park Bowling Club receives cash boost for new equipment

Grange Park Bowling Club in Outwood has been awarded a Community Grant of over £640 by WDH.

The club has used the money to buy a jet wash, hose, reel and shears which has improved the area massively.

Don Hall, a member of the club said: “The Community Grant has helped us buy equipment that will help us maintain the green and the tarmac around it. Before we received the grant we were using personal equipment and relying on people bringing it but now we have our own. We have a jet wash and a hose that will stretch around the green. We also have some shears to trim the edges to ensure it is tidy at all times. We have noticed since buying the new equipment that the club attracts more people and we are able to offer better services to the local community.”

Chris Croxall, WDH’s Tenant Involvement Officer said: “We are pleased to support groups like Grange Park Bowling Club. The group does a great job sustaining a really good community facility and lots of people enjoy attending which helps to create a strong community spirit.”
