Voting is now open for you to choose the Christmas art competition winner. You can vote by using our online form until Friday, 7 January 2022.
The season of goodwill is fast approaching, and we want to give the artists of Wakefield the opportunity to showcase their talents, as well as support local charities who have found fundraising during the pandemic, particularly difficult.
For Christmas this year, we want to find artists of any age and ability to have their artwork displayed in our newly refurbished Independent Living Scheme, Stoney Garth for our residents to enjoy. The winners will also be offered a £200 donation to their chosen local charity.
After all the challenges we have faced; time spent apart from friends and loved ones; understanding what is important; and getting used to a new world, this Christmas we are focusing on two themes: Reconnecting with life and loved ones again; and understanding what Home is… to different people.
We want to know what “Reconnecting” or “Home is” means to you. You can choose to take a photograph, paint or draw a picture that represents either of those two themes.
To enter, send a clear photograph of your work to competitions@wdh.co.uk, by Friday, 10 December 2021. Please, add a supporting sentence of no more than 50 words to explain your work.
Please, read the full terms and conditions of the competition below.
