Children of Pontefract celebrate Easter in the park

Published 4 May 2017

WDH supported Friends of Pease Park with a preschool Easter event on Tuesday 4 April.

WDH was joined by local families and Pomfret Children’s Centre.

The children and their parents took part in an Easter Egg Hunt around the park and were given the opportunity to win prizes, including Easter eggs and sweets donated by Tangerine Confectionary. Other activities included play dough modelling, playing with toys and creating Easter cards.

Claire Secker said: “Friends of Pease Park organised this fantastic event to promote  the park to families and children.  WDH was happy to support such an event and it’s great that so many people joined in. It’s lovely to see the park full of smiling, happy children and adults.”

The group has arranged a programme of events for the rest of the year which can be found on their Facebook page.
