Spectrum Children’s Drama Company won the Arts and Culture Award at WDH’s 2017 Love Where You Live Awards.
Keith Deal started Spectrum Children’s Drama Company over 26 years ago. The group allows children aged 6 to 16 years old to learn theatre skills including singing, dancing and acting whilst improving their confidence and social skills. The group is run by four volunteers with arts backgrounds and they put on two performances a year. Spectrum is a safe place for children to make friends, learn new skills and have lots of fun.
Keith said: “It means the world that we have won this award. We’re in shock, we didn’t think we would win. The prize will help us to buy some new lighting for our shows.”
