The choir from DeLacy Primary School visited residents at Eastbourne Bungalows Independent Living Scheme (ILS) on Thursday, 2 December to spread some Christmas cheer. Everyone was in the festive spirit as they enjoyed some games and refreshments, whilst the choir entertained with a few popular Christmas songs.
One lucky resident won a wooden reindeer, which had been made by WDH’s Training for Employment team.
The residents tucked into a Christmas buffet with plenty of festive treats, and the children enjoyed something sweet and hot chocolate topped with marshmallows.
Claire Secker, WDH’s Tenant Involvement Officer, said: “The residents and children had really missed this event last year were keen to make up for it this year. It was lovely to see the children and residents enjoy the singing and dancing together at a safe distance
As a thank you, the residents presented each choir member with a selection box.
Rose Hall, WDH’s Community Support Worker at Eastbourne Bungalows ILS, said: “Thank you Claire for all your hard work, the tenants loved it! We are looking forward to the next event. Have a wonderful Christmas.”
Louise Whitham-Jefferson, Officer Manager at DeLacy School, said: “The event has been a great success. We’d love to continue working with WDH and the centre in 2022.”
