1,500 trees planted for future generations to enjoy19 January 2022

WDH has worked in partnership with Kettlethorpe Nature Action Group and residents to plant 1,500 trees on WDH land in Kettlethorpe. The project, called Hendal Lane Community Plantation, forms part of the White Rose Forest initiative that aims to work with communities and land owners to plant trees where they are needed the most.

Applications for independent living scheme open following £2 million refurb11 January 2022

Applications to live at the newly refurbished independent living scheme, Stoney Garth in Wakefield are now open. The scheme, which has undergone major improvement works to the value of £2 million will be welcoming its first tenants early this year.

WDH Hub and Homesearch Christmas opening hours20 December 2021

Our Hubs will be closed over the Christmas period but we are still here to help if you need us. Our Pontefract and Wakefield Hubs will be open until 12 noon on Friday, 24 December and will then close for the Christmas period and reopen as normal from Tuesday, 4 January 2022 at 9 am.
