Last week, residents of a WDH independent living scheme enjoyed an Easter themed coffee morning. They got creative putting together Easter cards, Easter bonnets and Easter bags. One resident said: “I made my two daughters an Easter card each. It’s not something that I would usually do but it would have been a shame to pass on this opportunity.” Claire Secker, Tenant Involvement Officer, said: “It’s nice to see the residents come together and help one another. We urge everyone to get involved in any events that are held and it’s nice to see so many people enjoying themselves.”

Council Tax changes – have your say4 April 2019

The Wakefield Council is considering changes to the way Council Tax Support is calculated from 1 April 2020 and are asking for your thoughts on the proposals. A public consultation will run from 6 March to 6 June 2019. The changes are intended to make it simpler and easier to understand.
