WDH helps bring Community Shop to West Yorkshire

We have invested £20,000 to help hundreds of Knottingley residents on means-tested benefits to enjoy half-price food shopping, free skills training and free hot meals for children, at a new store on Pontefract Road, Knottingley.

They did it again! The Addy and Wild Tots and Friends do the double

The Addy in Knottingley did the double for the second year running and took home two more awards at our Love Where You Live Awards 2021. They took home the award for Working with Young People and their Wild Tots and Friends intergenerational work scooped the award for Working with Older People.

Children from Simpson’s Lane Academy in Knottingley celebrated finishing their SATs with a day in the park. Though they weren’t sitting back and relaxing just yet. They were picking up litter to improve the park, collecting 16 sacks all together, and adding planters to brighten up the area. They also did a street audit on the surrounding streets to highlight where improvements could be made.
