Our commitment to equality and diversity

Wakefield is becoming a multicultural and diverse district. Wakefield and District Housing (WDH) welcomes this diversity and recognises the many benefits it brings to the area.
We are committed to ensuring that the services we provide are free from any form of discrimination.
Equality and diversity is about providing equal opportunities to all and valuing the diversity of the communities we serve. One of the main ways we do this is by making sure our employees have a good understanding of equality and diversity.
We also want to promote an understanding of equality and diversity issues in the communities we serve.
WDH aims to achieve its objectives through the work of its Equality and Diversity Group and its Equality and Diversity Strategic Framework and Action Plan.
