Outward Bound for WDH apprentices

Our 20 new apprentices put their team-working skills to the test during a week-long Outward Bound activity challenge in the Lake District.

The apprentices, who started their new roles at WDH in August 2008, took on a variety of challenges designed to develop their teamwork, leadership and communication skills. Activities included mountain walking, orienteering, and raft building. They also had to put together a presentation discussing the week’s activities.

Sasha Timson, Apprentice in the Communications team, said: It was a really enjoyable week. It was quite tiring but we all supported each other and I feel like I have achieved a great deal."
