Second year apprentices

Our second-year apprentices were selected from more than 600 hopefuls following a rigorous selection process.

Fifteen now work as plasterers, electricians, plumbers, joiners, bricklayers and gas fitters. All of them are working towards NVQ Level 2 in their trade and will be working towards Level 3.

The five office-based apprentices work in the Human Resources, Communications, Planning and Performance, Technical Services and Regeneration teams. They are all working towards NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration.

The office-based applicants took a written communications test and faced tough interviews for their places. Five were selected and will study their apprenticeships in the Human Resources, Communications, Planning and Performance, Technical Services and Regeneration departments.
