Vision to 2020
WDH has a
Vision to 2020 to create confident communities and confident people.
The key objectives of our Vision are:
- By 2010 we will have created neighbourhoods where people wish to live, with all homes being decent.
- By 2015 we will offer real choice and real opportunity.
- By 2020 WDH, as a social enterprise, will have raised the bar and made significant social impacts.
The Vision to 2020 marked our move from simply providing homes to being a progressive and energetic social enterprise, which will be a catalyst for change. Within Vision to 2020 we outline the pivotal role WDH plays within the district to improve the quality of people’s lives in terms of better health, education, employment, the economy and the environment. Vision to 2020 sets out the key dates to 2020 by when we will meet our objectives.
Vision to 2020 encapsulates everything that WDH stands for. It is our commitment to invest in people, properties and neighbourhoods to create healthier, greener, safer, sustainable and confident communities.
Local Visions... WDH has a Local Vision for each of our five management areas to support the aspiration of providing local solutions to local issues. The Local Management Committees regularly review progress against these.
