Supported living
Sometimes you may need extra help and support to live independently, whether it be later in life, or because of a physical or learning disability.
WDH provides an extensive range of support services to vulnerable people, including:
- Access to 24-hour monitoring service.
- Independent living schemes (sheltered housing).
- Home adaptations.
- Telecare and Assistive Technology.
Independent living schemes, also known as sheltered housing, allow you live independently, with the added security of having someone to visit you daily and respond to you in emergencies.
If you are in receipt of Housing Benefit, a Government Fund called
Supporting People may assist you with the cost of the Independent Living Service.
We can also install adaptations to help you stay in your existing home, for example grab rails.
