Repairs due to damage
If you, or anyone in your home, causes damage to your home, we expect you to arrange for it to be repaired at your own cost, to our satisfaction, within a reasonable time. Examples are:
- Blocked sinks or toilets.
- Broken windows or doors.
- Floods from washing machines.
- Lost keys.
If you do not arrange for this work to be done, or if the repairs do not meet our standards, we may arrange to have the work done ourselves and charge you. Normally we will not carry out these types of repairs (known as rechargeable repairs) until you have paid for the work.
In an emergency, we may come into your home and carry out the repairs.
If the damage is caused by vandalism, we will carry out the work and make your home safe. We will only do further work if you give us a Police crime report number.
If the damage is caused by you and you leave the property, you will be charged for any items that are not classed as fair wear and tear. If you are not happy about any of the items you have been charged for, or would like further information, please contact your local Service Access Point.
