Building insurance

As a Leaseholder, part of your yearly service charge includes your contribution towards insuring the building you live in, the shared areas and underground services. This insurance covers damage to the structure of the building, such as fire or flooding but it would not cover any claims for the contents of your flat.

If you make a claim you will be responsible for paying the excess which is appropriate to the type of insurance claim you are making.

Contents insurance

WDH do not automatically insure furniture, belongings and decorations against fire, theft, vandalism or water damage (such as burst pipes). It is your responsibility to arrange enough contents insurance to cover the replacement of such items.

You can take advantage of the affordable home insurance package WDH have arranged with RSA or make your own arrangements with an insurance company of your choice.
