Voluntary sector
VOXThe Community Empowerment Network for Wakefield, VOX works to ensure voluntary and community organisations are fully represented in the Partnership. It help groups communicate and share ideas, and gives them a ‘united voice’ in the way the district is run.

Black and ethnic minorities
Partnership Board Member Nesar Rafiq has worked with the Wakefield Racial Harassment group for many years and works with various black and minority ethnic community groups.
He is also involved in the
Voluntary Action Wakefield District BME Project, helping voluntary and community groups in black and minority ethnic (BME) communities to have their own voice, and to help make services in general more accessible to people living in BME communities.
