VOX Neighbourhood Networks
VOX Neighbourhood Networks operate within the Wakefield District and bring community members and different agencies together to discuss local issues. The networks are all very different and led by the community. Individuals and community groups can attend. The networks that operate in this area are:

Neighbourhood Policing Teams
Each area has a Neighbourhood Policing Team, the link below is to the Wakefield district pages with a map and further links to local areas. Each page details who your policing team officers are and how you can contact them. Some also show recent crime statistics.
Police and Communities Together (PACT) meetings are for local residents and the police. They aim to highlight any crime-related priorities. Featherstone falls within the Normanton and Featherstone Policing Team area and meetings are held every four to six weeks in:
- Sharlston
- Featherstone
- Streethouse
PACT meetings for Pontefract and Knottingley are also held every four to six weeks in:
- Nevison/Monkhill
- Chequerfield, Willow Park, Carleton and Baghill
- Ferrybridge
- Knottingley
- Darrington
- Love Lane, Barracks and Larkshill
Police surgeries are one to one discussions between residents and police officers and are held at:
- Circle of Friends, Knottingley
- Adventure Playground, Knottingley
- Warwick Women’s Group, Knottingley
- Love Lane, Pontefract
- Monkhill, Pontefract
- Chequerfield, Pontefract
Sure Start Children’s Centres
Sure Start centres offer tailored individual support to families and children from pregnancy to age five. Their services offer integrated health care services and early years provision.
They can offer parenting advice, family support services, outreach to parents, a base for child minders, family information services and further education links.
