Engagement and Partnerships Team
The Engagement and Partnerships Team covers four main areas:

The WDH Roadshow 2008
Engagement and Consultation
It is our commitment to ensure that tenants have the opportunities to be involved in decisions about the services they receive and the communities that they live in. There are many ways of getting involved and having a say in what happens in your local area.
You can become involved in many different ways.
As an individual by:
- Taking part in a survey;
- Visiting your local Tenant Involvement Officer to discuss local issues;
- Joining a Tenants' and Residents' Association or Area Housing Forum;
- Taking part in one of our Tenant Challenge Days; or
- Applying to become a member of your Local Management Committee or WDH Board.
Getting involved means being able to discuss and influence issues that affect you.

Improvement Programme
Wakefield and District Housing's (WDH)Engagement Team work together with WDH Property Services and programming Teams to deliver the modernisation works. The team organise Choice Events to allow tenants to pick their fixtures and fittings before the improvement works take place. We also organise Neighbourhood Panel Meetings and send out scheme completion questionnaires to gather information and feedback from tenants who have had works already completed.

Partnerships

Partnership Group
We provide advice support, resources and expertise to groups and individuals to develop their skills and capacity to empower them in the participation process.
Working with both formal and informal groups to promote fair and democratic practices for all participants and enable groups to become as representative as possible.
Wakefield and District Housing can develop and will source training programmes relevant to tenants that will contribute to sustainable communities and tenant empowerment.
Performance and Monitoring
We make sure that WDH are providing the right opportunities for Tenants and Residents. Getting them involved and achieving value for money while doing this. The Engagement Team monitor Resident Involvement centrally and for each of the five areas across the district.
This information is used to produce a Performance Booklet, goes to the Resident Involvement Monitoring Group on a quarterly basis.
The Engagement Team also manage the Tenant Inspection Team, a group of WDH tenants who note, review and inspect the quality of WDH services and recommend areas for improvement.
