Financial problems

Wakefield and District Housing want to advise and support you if you are having financial problems which make it difficult to pay your rent. But you will need to contact us straight away, as soon as you realise you are having difficulties.

And we are working hard to eliminate 'financial exclusion' within the Wakefield district.

Financial exclusion is when you cannot benefit from facilities like having a bank account or debit card or being able to use direct debit or internet banking – either because you have been refused, or through choice (maybe you’ve had a bad experience with a bank or financial product in the past).

You can also read all about claiming Housing Benefit.
