WDH in the communityWe all want to live in a community that is safe, clean, vibrant and prosperous – somewhere we can be proud of. But for this to be the case, we need to take responsibility for the area where we live.
It’s hard to take pride in a community unless you feel that you’re really part of it – that you can influence decisions that affect you. In this section you can read about the different ways of getting involved - from joining a tenants’ or residents’ group to participating in local events.
Improvements can be made more quickly when local groups, private companies and residents work together. Read about our close working relationships with many different organisations, including community groups, voluntary services, PCTs, private companies and the police.
We don’t just want to improve quality of life for residents now, but in the future as well. So we are making sure that our approach to new development is sustainable, and reduces environmental impact as much as possible.
