What do I do if I’ve been visited by a bogus caller?

Reporting a bogus caller

If you believe you have been visited by a bogus caller you should call the Police non-emergency number 101 to report the incident.

Some criminals impersonate others to carry out crimes.  These bogus callers can be quite convincing and will try and talk their way into your home.

Visit our Bogus Callers web page for more information.

Remember:

Stop - check your back door (if you have one), lock it and take the key with you.

Chain-  put your chain or door bar restrictor on – it’s a useful barrier while you identify who they are.

Check - check their details before you let them into your home.
