What are the benefits of working for WDH?

Learning and development opportunities, pay, pension and benefits of working for WDH

We offer a range of learning and development courses, programmes and qualifications in line with the skills and knowledge required for the wide range of roles across the organisation.

All new starters attend an induction programme as well as a workplace induction to make sure they have a clear understanding of what WDH is about.

With over 1,300 employees there are a range of career opportunities at all levels and the Career Pathways area of the internal Employee Hub gives information about some of the requirements of individual roles.

The pay for each job is shown on the advert. You would start at the lower end of the scale for the job and progress to the top through annual increments.

If you would like to work for us we can offer a Career Average Revalued Earnings pension scheme, training opportunities, good working conditions, generous holidays, commitment to work life balance and good pay and benefits.

Our benefits range from an Employee Benefit Scheme, which offers discounts at high street retailers to the Cycle to Work scheme.

We understand that work life balance is important, which is why we offer a number of initiatives to ensure our employees are able to work flexibly.

The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) is available to all WDH employees who have a contract of three months or more. This is currently a Career Average Revalued Earnings scheme with the level of employee contributions determined by your annual salary. The scheme offers many benefits – details of which can be found on the West Yorkshire Pension Fund website.
