How do I apply to live in one of your Independent Living Scheme?

Applying for a tenancy at an Independent Living Scheme - is there an age limit.

All our available accommodation, at Independent Living Schemes in the Wakefield district, is allocated through Homesearch.

There is no age limit, anyone can apply to live in an Independent Living Scheme as long as they can demonstrate a housing related support need to live in this type of accommodation.

If you are interested in any of the properties advertised, either for yourself or on behalf of someone else, you will have to make an expression of interest.  You can only do this when you are registered with Homesearch.

Before any allocation can be made, our Independent Living Team will carry out an assessment with you.  This is to make sure you are in need of the support associated with this type of property and that all the services you will need are in place before you move.  The assessment, arranged by Homesearch, takes place when you go to the scheme to meet the Scheme Manager or Community Support Worker.
