A hair and beauty salon has given a facelift to commercial premises owned by WDH in Castleford.
Pamela Johnson and Vicki Ritchards launched Salon VIP three years ago in privately rented premises but decided to move to a WDH property, formerly a hot food takeaway, as they liked its location, aspect, space and ease of parking.
The arrival of Salon VIP from Airedale to the unit in Beancroft Street has generated new trade for its tenants and seen existing customers continuing to support the business.
Manager Gemma Lockwood and fellow hair stylist and beautician Sophie Seal (pictured) provide a wide range of salon services including waxing, eyebrow and lash tinting, lash extensions, spray tans and nails.
A doctor attends regularly to give Botox treatments while another professional offers a teeth whitening and makeup service.
The salon also sells gift vouchers and can provide special ‘prom’ packages for school leavers.
Vicki said: “We would like to thank our loyal customers who have followed us and also welcome our new customers, who have been really friendly.”
WDH’s Commercial Property Surveyor Jo Bamford said: “We were delighted to offer premises to Pamela and Vicki and we are pleased to hear the salon is building on its success. WDH has a range of commercial premises across the district available for lease, so please contact us on 01977 724425 if you’d like to find out more.”
Salon VIP is open Tuesday to Friday, 9 am to 7 pm, and on Saturdays from 9 am to 4.30 pm.
