WDH supports flood appeal

Published 31 December 2015

WDH is supporting an appeal set up by a group of volunteers that have drawn upon the goodwill of people from across the district to collect supplies for flood victims across Yorkshire. With plans to deliver the goods today, the landlord and homebuilder is providing vans, employees and boxes as required. Donations will be collected from St Mary’s Church in South Elmsall, which has allowed the volunteers to store all the items received in its main hall.

Emma Frith, a volunteer who has helped collect contributions, said: "In times of need we all stick together to help people. No words can describe how generous everyone has been."

Kevin Dodd, WDH Chief Executive, said: "After Emma contacted us, and we found out what she was doing, we wanted to assist. The work of the volunteers is brilliant and we’re pleased to be able to help in our own way."
