WDH held a celebratory event in Pontefract last week to mark the end of the environmental improvements being carried out in the local area.
The improvements took place on Eastbourne Estate in Pontefract – which has seen a major improvement since the work began on driveways, fences, rear gardens and general environment clearance. WDH worked in partnership with Groundwork Wakefield to design and deliver the improvements.
Richard Parker, WDH Estate Manager said: “The work looks great; it has really made a difference to the local area.”
Natalie Potter, 28, local resident said: “It looks a lot nicer, I’m happy with it.”
Waldemar Kripp, Landscape Team Manager for Groundwork said: “This project was a real team effort with WDH, the contractor and ourselves working with the residents of Eastbourne Estate to create a much improved environment. We are very pleased at the outcome of the project and it is really good to see tenants and residents are enthusiastic about improving their own gardens following the completion of this work.”
To complement the work, a free planter was offered to everyone in the street.
