WDH’s Digital Angels are providing free learning sessions about how to get online in South Elmsall and Airedale next week (18 - 19 August).
Still many people don’t have basic digital skills and are missing out on the benefits that being online can provide. People can save on average more than £500 per year if they online compared to those who are not. WDH wants to make sure every one of its tenant has the basic digital skills they need to save money by shopping online, send emails, search for jobs and keep in touch with friends and family using social media.
The one hour sessions will be held in Airedale and South Elmsall on the following days:
- 18 August 10 am to 3 pm in South Elmsall SAP (Exchange Street, WF9 2RD)
- 19 August 10 am to 3 pm in Airedale SAP (Stansfield Road, Airedale, WF10 3BY)
Gerard Maguire, WDH’s Customer Excellence Manager, said: “Being able to get online is becoming more important every day, but we understand that a lot of people are scared of the internet or don’t know the first thing about using computers. Our employees have been trained to offer support to people so they can get to grips with the internet and make the most of being online.”
WDH runs regular free learning sessions and people can sign up by calling the Engagement Team on 0345 8 507 507.
