Do you know someone who needs help to use the internet? Our Digital Angels can help!
If your friend or relative needs help to get online, get them to give our Digital Angels a call!
Specially-trained WDH employees are volunteering to teach people basic internet skills so they can save money by shopping online, send emails, search for jobs and keep in touch with friends and family using social media.
Being able to use the internet is becoming even more important, especially once the government introduces Universal Credit– when people will only be able to claim benefits online.
WDH’s Digital Angels are hosting special workshops at the WDH Hub in Wakefield city centre for people to drop in to advice and support. The sessions will be held on:
- Tuesday 7 July, 10 am to 1 pm
- Friday 10 July, 1 pm to 4 pm
- Tuesday 14 July, 10 am to 1pm
- Friday 17 July, 1 pm to 4pm
- Tuesday 21 July, 10 am to 1 pm.
WDH’s Digital Angels are also available for one-to-one support outside these sessions, and anyone wanting to book an appointment can do so by contacting OneCALL on 0345 8 507 507
Gerard Maguire, WDH’s Customer Excellence Manager, said: “WDH’s Digital Angels are here to help anyone who needs to learn how to use the internet.
“Being able to get online is becoming more important every day, but we understand that a lot of people are scared of the internet or don’t know the first thing about using computers. Our employees have been trained to offer dedicated one-to-one support to people so they can get to grips with the internet and make the most of being online.”
“If you need support from a WDH Digital Angel, visit us at the WDH Hub or give us a call on 0345 8 507 507.”
