Tell-all Terry pulls back the Black Lace to reveal Agadoo secrets!

It’s taken nine years – but at last, Terry Dobson, WDH Area programme manager and in-house genuine Rock Legend, has completed his auto-biography and doesn’t pull any punches about his time as a founding member of one of Britain’s most famous music bands, Black Lace!

The new book “And Then Came Agadoo” is Terry’s official tome of his extraordinary life both inside and outside British Rock – from his humble beginnings on the Peacock Estate through to the heady days of screaming girls and day-glow pants (and those interesting hair-styles!).

In the book Terry also recounts how he met his long-absent father after 55 years apart and also his experience in dealing with his partner’s sudden death from asthma in July 2006 and left to bring up his youngest son Liam, now seven years old.

After reading the book, a recent review said: “I got totally lost for a couple of weeks reading a chapter and creating a picture in my mind and 'living' it in my own way… I hated finishing it. I wanted more and more.”

Terry says he’s had several other positive reviews.

“There’s some good stuff in there,” says Terry. “A few tellies thrown out of hotel windows and some great stories about other stuff the band used to get up to.

“You can buy it through www.wakefieldhospice.co.uk where a donation from your purchase goes to the hospice and all the good work they do down there.

“I’d like to thank everyone who has offered encouragement while I was writing the book. It’s taken a long time to finish but it's been worth it!”
